The top guy looks like a Crown Royal Prince. The bottom guy looks like he's had TOO MUCH Crown Royal! ~ jb///

Lz,

I knew that crown looked familiar!

Many of the folks around Market Street have had too much something, probably Rotgut, though, not Crown Royal.

Thank you for coming by.

When we first visited SF when we arrived here, I was truly shocked at the number of homeless people in the richest country in the world.
Thanks for the reminder.
Cheers
p.s. and we have that very same crown!

Mcewen,

And you have a nice bike, too.

It is truly shocking that we have so many homeless people in America. Our government seems to have other priorities.

I just read several posts on one of your blogs and loved it. I will be back often. Thank you for coming by here.

I can't imagine what the neighbors would think if I started riding my bike with a crown on my head. Maybe he is bringing it home to his nephew and its just the most convenient way to carry it. Ah well, king for a day.

On the lighter side, I would totally wear a crown like that... I'm beginning to tire of my tiara. ;)

On the more serious side, it upsets me to see the homeless, though after living in Philly at a time of rampant homelessness, I've seen that, while some are truly victims of circumstance and are having a hard time getting back on their feet, a percentage of them are simply unwilling to work.

Where do you draw the line about things like that? Not that our government is helping solve the problem much in either case, so I guess that it's a moot point.

Reflective,

I'd like one, too, but it wouldn't fit under my helmet.

Velvet,

Ohh, you have a tiara? You must be some kinda queen or somethin'. Wow.

Can I borrow it? I wanna be a queen, too.

SF has MANY homeless people. Some are probably disabled or the victims of extremely bad luck, but most seem able-bodied and could probably work at something. It's hard to know, and I don't want to judge, but I do believe that more could be done for these people.

There are way too many falling through cracks in the system, which is increasingly beneficial only to those who are already privileged.
