Is China passing the USA up as the most hated country worldwide?

Ve,

Close call, but we may have to bow to superior talent.

Thank you! Those are wonderful photos of what I hope will be remembered as an historic day. Now, of every other city continues to receive the torch the same way, something might penetrate the thick heads of the Chinese rulers.

St. Nick,

Let's hope so. It seems that our dependence on China for products may be clouding our vision, though.

Yes, our vision may be clouded by our growing dependence on China's new capitalism; however, I believe that many other nations are not willing to look the other way as the U.S.

i'm glad you were there to witness this. It's good to know that not everyone is lying down and accepting the BS.

St. Nick,

It's hard to know. It seems that far too many people are willing to look the other way if it's convenient.

Star,

I was a Civil Rights worker and also demonstrated against the Vietnam War in the 60's. Sometimes it's discouraging how slowly necessary change comes about, but being there and vocal is still the only way most of us can be heard by those who set policies.

I love the "Human Rights Are More Important Than Games" sign. Great photos!

Angela,

Oh, thank you so much! It was an exciting event.

Being married to a Chinese-American makes it hard to express myself about that kind of thing around here, but it must have been a wonderful sight to see! Thanks for posting your photos!
