Two years ago, I found this cat in our backyard, scared and starving. He had been abandoned by someone, and was desperate to belong again. I was unable to adopt him, although I fed him every day (and fell in love with him,) because Truffle, our in-house Queen cat, was unreceptive to the idea. (Read that puffed up, hissing, and hostile beyond belief.)
Our neighbors adopted him and named him Joey. When they go away, I get to take care of him. These pictures are from our latest illicit tryst, upstairs.
Please don't report me to Truffle.

What a beautiful cat! I'm glad that Joey found a good home, even if Queen Truffle the First wasn't so receptive to the adoption.
And don't worry, your secret is safe with me. ;)
What a sweet little kit! Lulu is in love with him. :)
Velvet,
He is gorgeous. Did you see how he poses?
He has a great home, but I think he still thinks of me as his birth mom.
I'm glad you can keep a secret.
Dan,
He's a love, as sweet as he is beautiful. Lulu has good taste.
A gorgeous feline!
That was me.
Anvil,
He is, and incredibly sweet, too.
Thanks for coming by here!
Well rescued. FAZ
Faz,
I saw your pictures, and you're not exactly chopped chicken liver either.
Joey
Joey is gorgeous, how fluffy and cuddly and doing all the *look at me there-so-damn-cute-gotta-pat'em instantly*.....it is so hard not being able to reach out and cuddle that cat when he's asking..
My old girl died, 16 years old, curled up on her favorite chair, just looked asleep, she died in her nap, how beautiful is that..
Please give Joey a cuddle for me next time u see him, he is meant to cuddle.
Pam
Pam,
I'm so sorry about your kitty. It's so terrible to lose a four-legged friend.
I still dream about the ones I've lost, a cat, a wolf, several dogs and two horses. I think they visit me in my sleep and are waiting for me to get where they are.
I will definitely give Joey a big cuddle for you when I see him. And I send you a hug, too, from me.
I'm not sure if I love the pictures, the story or the talk about an afternoon tryst more. This was great!
Angela,
I think he believes that I'm his mom because he is always ready to go home with me, even though he has a wonderful, loving home now.
It's so hard when your kids grow up and leave you.
I'm sure that Truffle smelled the 'other cat' on you when you got home. They always know when you've been cheating.
Big Mama,
She does, indeed, know when I cheat, and she knows Joey.
When I was feeding him in the backyard, he followed me home one day and into the apartment. Truffle puffed herself up to about three times her normal size and hissed viciously at him. He flew down the stairs and over the fence and refused to speak to me for several days, despite my apologies.
